The recently opened Contemporary Six gallery in Hale, Cheshire, reveals their autumn exhibition that begins today, titled Celebrating 15 Years of Contemporary Six. The show features a range of artists and includes several photographs by Shirley Baker.
The gallery is a new offshoot of the established Manchester gallery of the same name that opened in 2010, opposite Manchester Town Hall.
Shirley Baker, who was born and lived in Kersal, eventually moved to Wilmslow in Cheshire, only a few miles away from Contemporary Six. The gallery is known for promoting and celebrating works by northern artists so we are delighted to be included in this new show.
