The Dark Peak photography festival takes place in the pretty market town of Glossop in the High Peak District, with exhibitions, workshops, walks and photography for all. With the first festival happening in 2024, the not-for-profit organisation sets out to bring photography to new audiences.
The Headline Exhibition will showcase a diverse collection of work, including a number of Shirley Baker’s street photographs, on loan from her estate. This year the theme is Identity, and an array of established and emerging photographers explore the theme and reveal their own identities.
In addition there are daily workshops and exhibitions in various venues dotted around the town.
